Mary C. Sites

Mary Catherine Sites, 63, of Warrensburg, passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence.

She was born December 21, 1957, in Warrensburg, a daughter of Glen H. and Altha Jane (Angel) Berry. On April 9, 1977, in Dresden, she married John A. Sites, who survives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her mother-in-law, Reba Sites; brothers Glenn and Larry; four nephews; and one niece.

In addition to her husband, survivors include: a nephew she and her husband raised from childhood and considered him a son, Dustin Perkins; four brothers, Wayne, Billy, Mike and Terry; four sisters, Louise, Wanda, Glenda and Virginia; and many nieces and nephews that she spoiled rotten, then sent home.

She worked many jobs, however the last few years, she was primary caregiver to a niece, Destiny, and nephew, Demetrius, in her home.

She was a Christian believer, and she was available to any family member who needed her. She was a nurturing and caring wife, sister and aunt.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Heckart Funeral Home. Honorary pallbearers will be her nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. until service time.

Burial will be in Centerview Cemetery at a later date.
