Mary Lou Cave, 94, of Sedalia, passed away Sunday, August 8, 2021 at Sylvia G. Thompson Residence Center.
She was born February 1, 1927, in Sedalia, a daughter of the late Kenneth Byron and Augusta Dean (Furnell) Rowlette. On July 22, 1947, in Sedalia, she married Thomas George Cave, who preceded her in death on December 6, 1988.
Mary Lou enjoyed quilting, making wall hangings and necklaces from old quilts. She worked as a cook at Smith-Cotton High School. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Survivors include a son, Thomas Cave, Jr., of Tuscan, AZ; three daughters, Connie Woodward (Tom) Azle, TX, Cindy Cave, of Fort Worth, TX, and Lori Cave-Waller (Larry), of Sedalia; seven grandchildren, Cora Woodward, Randy Woodward, Justin Woodward, Morgan Woodward, Wendy Hulahan, Kristopher Koeller and Jimmy Koeller; and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Roland Rowlette, and a sister, Jewel Morgenstern.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Heckart Funeral Home, with Bill Decker conducting.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Koeller, Kristopher Koeller, Tom Woodward, Randy Woodward, Justin Woodward and Morgan Woodward.
Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. until service time.
Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
