Mary F. McCleery

Mary Frances McCleery, 82, of Otterville, passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at Katy Manor in Pilot Grove.

She was born July 16, 1942, in Sedalia, daughter of Eugene and Mary Anna (Brodersen) Aldrich.

On September 27, 1965, in Tipton, she was united in marriage to Teddy Joe McCleery, who preceded her in death on December 19, 2015.

Mary made a profession of faith and was baptized as a child at Tipton Baptist Church. She was a 1960 graduate of Tipton High School and attended Mariwood College of Beauty Culture in Jefferson City. She owned and operated Mary’s Beauty Shop in Tipton.

Mary was a member of First Baptist Church of Otterville, where she taught Sunday school. She was devoted to praying for family and friends. She enjoyed painting, drawing, and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan.

Surviving are a brother, Roy Aldrich (Ruth), of Kenosha, WI; a niece, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Everett Paxton.

The family will receive friends beginning at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, September 28, 2024, at First Baptist Church of Otterville, where funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m.

Burial will follow in Highland Sacred Gardens in Sedalia.
