Michael K. Dore

Michael Kelly Dore, 71, of Carthage, died Tuesday, January 16, 2018, at his daughter’s home in Sedalia.

He was born March 5, 1946, in Kansas City, the son of Robert Lee Dore and Ruby VanRiper Dore.

Michael was a caring and generous person. He always tried to make you laugh with his joking nature. He was a hard worker and spent most of his time doing his work as a roofer. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, playing cards, and betting on dogs and horses.

His family includes Eva Dore, who is the mother of his children, Kelly Dore (Shellene), Denise Dore, and Krystal Dore Mullins (who preceded him in death); six grandchildren, Courtland, Michael, Shenee, Matthew, Evanna and Aria; and three siblings, David, Rosalee “Bo,” and Jane.

In addition to his parents and daughter, he was preceded in death by seven siblings, Patsy, Ruby, Robert Lee, Johnny, Richard, Evelyn and Jeanie.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 27, at Hunter Civic Center in Versailles.

Cremation arrangements are in the care of Heckart Funeral Home.
