Michael W. Comfort

Michael Wayne Comfort, 46, of Sedalia, passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2015, at University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia, MO.

He was born July 24, 1968, in Sedalia, son of C.L. and Gloria L. Denny Comfort.

Michael was a U.S. Navy veteran. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his son. He attended New Bethel United Methodist Church.

He is survived by a son, Jacob Michael Comfort, of Oklahoma; his parents, of Sedalia; a brother, Paul Comfort, of Nebraska; and a sister, Lisa Comfort, of Sedalia.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 18, 2015, at Heckart Funeral Home, with the Rev. Joann Keele officiating.

Casket bearers will be Ricky Turner, Robert Warren, Phil Kemp and David Wehmeyer.

Burial will be in Highland Sacred Gardens, with military honors by VFW Post 2591.

The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association.
