Mildred Brownfield

Mildred Rosemary “Midge” Brownfield, 91, of Sedalia, died Sunday, January 27, 2013, in Sun City Center, Florida.

She was born February 13, 1921, in Hays, Kansas, daughter of Elmer Lee and Albina Unrein Robertson. She was raised and educated in Kansas City.

On November 10, 1970, in Kansas City, she married Charles William Brownfield, who preceded her in death on May 4, 1993.

Mrs. Brownfield was a member of First Baptist Church and the Willing Workers Sunday School class. She was also a member of the Helen G. Steele Music Club, Compass Club, Jolly Elders, AARP, and had been active in various other organizations and Bridge groups.

Surviving are nephews, Elmer Lee Robertson, Steven Robertson, Paul Robertson, and Donnie Brownfield; and a niece, Heather Hauk.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Rachel Carry; a nephew, Mark Robertson, and a brother, E.L. Robertson.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 2, 2013, at Heckart Funeral Home, with the Rev. Marlin Brown officiating.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.

Private burial will be held in Crown Hill Cemetery.
