Mildred D. Moravec-Grateke, 86, of Sedalia, passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2018, in Wichita, KS.
She was born January 29, 1932, in Mitchell, NE, daughter of Gurney and Sarah (Frank) Coe.
In 1950, in South Dakota, she was married to Rodney D. Moravec Sr., who preceded her in death on January 9, 2000. Later she married Chris Grateke, who also preceded her in death.
Millie worked for Rival Manufacturing and Boeing. She was a member of Parkview Christian Church, where she was president of Be Forever Young. She also belonged to the Jolly Elders. She loved dinner theaters, gardening, going to the movies and feeding her hummingbirds. Millie will be remembered for her “spark” as well as her kindness and generosity.
Surviving are two children, Mildean Egan and her husband, Tim, and Rodney D. Moravec Jr. and his wife, Sandy, all of Wichita; four grandchildren, Stephanie Brown, Jonathan Moon (Melissa), Jaison Moravec, and Christina Strand (Christopher); three great-grandchildren, Tia, Jake and Jordan; and a sister, Barbara Hawkins, of Cheyenne, WY.
She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Dewayne, Donald, Delmar and Danny Coe; and a sister, Donna Rush.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 16, at Parkview Christian Church, with the Rev. Rodney Brown officiating.
Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. Sunday, July 15, at Heckart Funeral Home.
