Nancy S. Richwine

Nancy Sue Richwine, 65, of Sedalia, passed away Saturday, May 21, 2016, at Sylvia G. Thompson Residence Center.

She was born April 25, 1951, in Sedalia, daughter of Oliver and Ruth (Allcorn) Richwine.

Nancy graduated from Green Ridge High School in 1969 and later attended State Fair Community College and Southwest Missouri State University, from where she graduated with a Bachelors degree in education. She was an elementary school teacher for over 30 years, teaching at Winona School in the Ozarks for six years and then at La Monte School, from where she retired.

Surviving are a sister, Judith Knoth, of Katy, TX; a brother, James Richwine, of Nixa, MO; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two half sisters, Blondena Peters and Lilly Bailey.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 27, at Heckart Funeral Home, with Chaplain Bill Douglas officiating.

Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions are suggested to C.A.C.T.U.S., in care of the funeral home.

Nancy’s family wishes to thank Sylvia G. Thompson Residence Center and Crossroads Hospice for their warm and loving care during her stay there.
