Neva Geraldine Rice Durley, 91, of Sedalia, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at the Good Shepherd Care Center in Versailles.
She was born December 29, 1921, in Pettis County, MO, a daughter of John Avery and Esther Yost Rice. On January 15, 1946 in Lawrence, KS, she married L H Durley, who passed away October 24, 1978.
Gerry enjoyed sewing, painting, gardening and board games, and was active in several bridge clubs. She attended Broadway Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include two sons, David Durley, of Independence, MO, and Hunter Durley, of Sedalia; two daughters, Ann Durley, of Independence, OR, and Colly Durley, of Columbia, MO; four grandchildren, Tiffany, Ben, Bess and Justin; four great-grandsons; and seven siblings.
Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Crown Hill Cemetery followed by funeral services at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Heckart Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday at Heckart Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Eye Foundation of America or Children’s Therapy Center.
