Nora F. Cramer

Nora Frances Cramer, 90, of Florence, passed away Monday, June 4, 2018, at Tipton Oak Manor.

She was born November 4, 1927, in the Florence area, the daughter of William Edward Steele and Gertrude (McNeal) Steele.

On February 12, 1944, at the home of Earnest A. Duvel south of Florence, she was married to Dale James Cramer, who preceded her in death on November 21, 1996.

Mrs. Cramer was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, where she was the oldest member upon her death. Over the years, she taught Sunday School, served as VBS director, was involved in WMU and sang in the Mt. Olive Quartet. She worked as a CNA at Tipton Oak Manor for many years. Nora was a charter member of Victory Homemakers Club and a member of the Red Hat Society in Sedalia. She enjoyed painting, listening to music and being with her family, especially her grandchildren. Nora was a loving, Christian lady who will be greatly missed.

Surviving are four children, Kay Moon (Kenny), of Florence, Pam Combs (Jack), of Harrisonville, Dale Lynn Cramer (Gwyn), of Camdenton, and Kelli Taylor (John), of North Little Rock, AR; seven grandchildren, Kristi, Cheri, Ryan, Lauren, Caleb, Noah and Tristan; ten great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Blanche Schroeder; and a brother, Wray Steele.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Diane Dalene; a granddaughter, Kimberly; a brother, Jim; and four sisters, Opal, Alma, Clara and Annabelle (in infancy).

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 9, at Mt. Olive Baptist Church near Florence, with the Rev. Gary Payne and the Rev. Paul Larimore officiating.

Burial will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Heckart Funeral Home in Sedalia.
