Norman Dale McCutchen, 93, of Sedalia, passed away Thursday, February 16, 2017, at University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia.
He was born October 30, 1923, in Winona, Missouri, the son of Jacob and Elizabeth (Fletcher) McCutchen.
Dale was united in marriage to Peggy L. Smith on May 24, 1947, in Olathe, KS.
Dale was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and had served five campaigns. He was a farmer and also worked as a service station manager for many years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Surviving are four children: Pamela Bass (Paul), of Florence, Robert McCutchen (Dee), of El Paso, TX, Larry McCutchen (Susan), of Dallas, TX, and John McCutchen, of Sedalia; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Betty Jo Kinshella.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Donna McCutchen; a grandson, Robert Dale McCutchen; one brother and four sisters.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 21, at Memorial Park Cemetery, with the Rev. Duane Duchesne officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the U.S. Army and VFW Post 2591.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Salvation Army.
