Norman E. Smith

Norman Edward Smith, 64, of Boonville, formerly of Sedalia, passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2021, at his home.

Norman was born March 23, 1956, the son of Melvie Mosier Pummill of Springfield, MO, and Nolan Smith who passed away when Norman was just a child.

He was a graduate of Smith-Cotton High School. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.

Ed liked to hunt and loved guns. He loved to fish. He loved his beer and was full of stories. It was sometimes hard to tell the truth from fiction when he would get going. He was also a great cook.

He was married to Nita (Houdek) Smith.

He has a brother, Chris Smith; a daughter, Amber Smith; a son, Jeff Smith; two granddaughters and one grandson.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Nolan D. Smith and Blanche Smith Zimmerschied.

Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Highland Sacred Gardens with full military honors.

Memorials are suggested to the family in care of the funeral home.
