Patricia F. Ray, 77, of Sedalia, passed away Saturday, July 31, 2021, at The Bluffs in Columbia.
She was born June 18, 1944, in Marshall, daughter of Lonnie E. and Mary (Alspaw) Gerlt.
On August 7, 1960, in Marshall, she was married to Harold Francis Ray, who died February 26, 2008.
Pat worked in nursing at the Hawthorn House and Lincoln Community Nursing Home. She attended Lakeside Baptist Church and New Life Open Bible Church. Her hobbies included word searches, sewing, making dolls and playing Bingo. She also sold Avon for many years.
Surviving are children: Sharon (Chris) LaLanda, Harold (Pam) Ray, Johnny Ray, Patricia (Pete) Taber, and Harold “Tuffy” (Jody) Ray; siblings: Lonnie (Joyce) Gerlt, Jesse (Sandy) Gerlt, David (Mary) Gerlt, Mary (Bob) Larsen, Donna (Gene) Weathers, and Lisa Ann Gerlt; twelve grandchildren; and thirty-four great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Gerlt.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 5, 2021, at Heckart Funeral Home, with Rev. Hoyt Ray officiating.
Casket bearers will be Matthew Gardner, Jesse Ray, Brandon Ray, Kyle LaLanda, Nicky LaLanda, Brandon Grandfield and David Borgstadt, Jr.
Honorary bearers will be Lonnie Joe Gerlt, Mike Weathers, Dan Weathers, Lester Gerlt, Mike Hammers and Mike Harrington.
Burial will be in Howard Chapel Cemetery in Urbana, Missouri.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
