In Loving Memory…
Patricia S. Albers, 81, of Sedalia, passed away Thursday, June 15, 2023 at her home.
She was born February 27, 1942, in Siskiyou County, CA, a daughter of the late Robert Thomas and Lavina Alice (Maplesden) Head. On June 29, 1968, in Horse Creek, CA, she married Leo George Albers who preceded her in death on February 21, 2006.
Patricia was a Marine veteran, serving from 1960 until she received an honorable discharge in 1964.
She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church and was active in United Methodist Women.
Patricia served the community as head cook at Dresden and LaMonte R-VI, from where she retired. During the summers and on weekends, she made pizzas at Casey’s in La Monte.
She enjoyed embroidery, cooking, watching the Hallmark channel, reading, animals, violets and the color lavender. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and traveling to visit her sister in California.
Survivors include her sister, Martha Sakota, of Happy Camp, CA; four children, Lalene Albers, of Knob Noster, Martha Avey (Larry), of Mora, Tricia Albers-Hurt (Joe), of Clinton, and George Albers (Lori Pitts), of Sedalia; nine grandchildren, Christopher Lazenby, Rochelle Campbell, Darren Lazenby, Lane Avey, Elijah Albers-Hurt, Jonah Albers-Hurt, Hannah Pitts, Brittany Fonke and Logan Hurt; and three great-grandchildren, Carrie Campbell, Trenton Campbell and Jasper Hurt.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert L. Head.
Funeral service will be 11:00 am Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at Heckart Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 10:00 am until service time.
Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery with military honors.
