Philip Ridenour Parrish, 97, of Sedalia, died Friday, January 11, 2019, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.
He was born July 21, 1921, in Greene County, son of Albert Mack and Georgia Fern (Ridenour) Parrish.
On May 21, 1950, in Sedalia, he married Dorothy Gene Lower, who survives.
Mr. Parrish was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He earned a Bachelor’s degree from Drury University. He worked as a procurement manager for Swift & Company. When he was younger, he enjoyed playing golf. He was skilled at woodworking and loved gardening. After retirement, he and Gene enjoyed traveling. He was a past Mason.
In addition to his wife of 68 years, survivors include two sons, Mack Parrish and Keith Parrish, both of Sedalia; three grandchildren, Ashley Zubeck, Jill Miller and Ryan Parrish; three great-grandchildren; and a brother, Paul Parrish, of Wentworth, MO.
He was preceded in death by a son, Mark Parrish; two sisters, Lorene and Wilma Lee; and a brother, Lester.
Private services will be held.
Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the Sedalia Animal Shelter.
