Phyllis Anne Purdy, 64, of Green Ridge, passed away Saturday, March 29, 2014, at her home.
She was born January 16, 1950, in Marshall, MO, daughter of Luther David and Mary Anna Fisher Sleeper. In 2003, in Branson, she married John William Purdy, who survives of the home.
Phyllis worked in home health care in earlier years. She was a member of New Salem Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, survivors include a son, Steve Dohrman, of Green Ridge; a grandson, Korbin Pointer, of the home; a granddaughter, Karlie J. Pointer, of Columbia; two brothers, Robert L. Sleeper, of Higginsville, and Jim D. Sleeper, of Blackburn; and a sister, Louise Crowder (Charlie), of Marshall.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a daughter, Bobbie Jo Pointer.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 2, at New Salem Baptist Church in Marshall Junction.
Casket bearers will be Robert B. Sleeper, Carla Allison, Korbin Pointer, Kevin Riley, Andy Riley and Bruce Saltsgaver.
Burial will be in Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the church.
