Ralph Robert “Bob” Green
Ralph Robert “Bob” Green, 79, of Chilhowee, MO, passed away Wednesday, May 24, 2017, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City.
He was born October 10, 1937, in El Monte, CA, son of Ralph Ezra Green and Bonnie Ruth (Moore) Green.
Bob lived most of his life on his family’s farm in Chilhowee. He raised cattle and also was a machine maintenance supervisor at Gate’s Energy Products for nearly 20 years. He enjoyed watching his granddaughters play softball, fishing with his grandsons and great-grandchildren, hunting, playing poker, going to the Sprint Car Nationals in Knoxville, IA, and watching MMA fights. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He will be remembered as a wonderful dad, grandpa, great-grandpa, son, brother, uncle and friend.
Surviving are two daughters, Debbie Harper (Ronnie), of Kansas City, KS, and Darla Honn, of Sedalia; eight grandchildren, Laura Christie, Johnathan Harper, Austin Honn, Logan Harper, Olivia Honn, Nickolas Harper, Emma Honn and Sophia Honn; and three great-grandchildren, Robbie Harper, MacKenzie Harper and Gaia Christie. He was also dad to Kim Parrott and grandpa to Ashleann Anthony and Zachary Parrott.
He is also survived by four sisters, Anet Moore, of Warsaw, Bonnie Dilday, of Cassville, Elsie Algaier, of Independence, and Barbara Gruefe, of Chilhowee; seven nieces and three nephews.
A Celebration of Life is being planned and will be announced at a later date.
Cremation arrangements are in the care of Heckart Funeral Home in Sedalia.
