Rebecca S. Hagston

Rebecca Sue Hagston, 69, of Sedalia, formerly of Cole Camp, passed away Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born May 21, 1952 in Cole Camp, a daughter of the late Elmer and Shirley (Ryder) Allen. On November 7, 1970, in Cole Camp, she married James E. Hagston, Sr., who preceded her in death on September 11, 2021.

Rebecca was a 1970 graduate of Cole Camp High School. She worked as a machinist for 19 years.

She enjoyed gaming, puzzles and ducks. Her family was central in her life. She loved big family gatherings and adored her grandkids.

Survivors include seven children, James Hagston, Jr. (Faith), Matthew Hagston, Jonathan Hagston (Jean), Benjamin Hagston, Misty Hagston, Jason Hagston and Samuel Hagston (Liz); a sister, Patti Bendure; 17 grandchildren, Savannah, Sierra, Makaela, Eaven, Early, Star, Haley, Leo, Rily, Casey, Ethan, Eliza, Remington, Makayla, Cole, Jolyn and Lexi; and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Allen.

Memorial Service will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 30, 2021 at Heckart Funeral Home.

There will be no visitation.

A potluck dinner will be held in the Heckart Family Center immediately following the service.
