Richard Lee “Dick” Ryan, 72 of Sedalia, formerly of Scottsdale, Arizona, passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2017, at Fair View Nursing Home.
He was born October 2, 1944, in Chicago Heights, Illinois, son of the late Richard and Ethel Ryan.
On February 26, 1983, in Scottsdale, Arizona, Richard married Barbara Dunn Loveland, who now resides in Sedalia, Missouri. He and his wife ran a tour company for twenty years in Phoenix, Arizona.
Dick’s hobby was rebuilding old cars and trucks. He was currently restoring a 1954 Ford truck.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Linda Madruga, of California.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sister, Debra Ryan, of Marble Canyon, Arizona; three stepchildren, David Loveland and John Loveland, of Sedalia, and Vickie Homan, of Otterville; five step grandchildren, Krista Phillips, Courtney Millsap and Whitney Homan, of Otterville, and Hannah Loveland and Claire Loveland, of Sedalia; and three great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 16, at Heckart Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dr. Chad McMullin officiating.
Visitation will follow the memorial service.
