Rick Allen Cunningham, 59, of Hughesville, passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2016, at Sweet Springs Villa.
He was born October 25, 1956, in St. Louis, son of Robert William and Mary Isabelle Ison Cunningham.
On August 4, 1979, in Smithton, he was united in marriage to Dawn Griffin.
Rick was a member of First Christian Church. He was a member of Sedalia Lodge 236 AF & AM, where he served as Past Master. He was also a member of the Shrine Club and Scottish Rite.
Rick was a farmer. He was an avid Kansas City Royals fan and enjoyed traveling, science fiction and spending time with his family. He will be remembered as a generous, passionate and loving man.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by three children, Ashley Cunningham (Shaina Smith), of Kansas City, MO, Ryan Cunningham (Leonie), of Washington, DC, and Trevor Cunningham (Lorelei), of Sedalia; one granddaughter, Hanna Cunningham; two sisters, Debbie Watson, of Jacksonville, FL, and Teri Huto, of Dothan, AL; and two brothers, James Leddon, of North Carolina, and John Leddon, of Monroe, LA.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Heckart Funeral Home, with the Rev. Kimberly Cunningham officiating.
Casket bearers will be Neal Porter, Lyn Rayl, Tom Staus, John Meehan, Lester Knight, Dennis Steele and James Griffin.
Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at Heckart Funeral Home.
Memorials are suggested to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children in care of Heckart Funeral Home.
