Rita Jeanette Offield Tolliver, 70, of Sedalia, passed away Monday, February 24, 2025, at her home.
She was born on October 24, 1954, in Boonville, MO, a daughter of Theodore F. and Alice Marie (Pfeiffer) Hale.
Rita was a devoted member of Broadway Baptist Church in Sedalia. She had a deep love for music, especially playing the piano, and found joy in listening to Elvis Presley. Her love for animals, particularly dogs, was evident to all who knew her.
Throughout her life, Rita worked as a secretary for the Port Authority in Boonville, MO, and later as a cashier at Walmart. However, she spent most of her time as a dedicated homemaker, cherishing time with her family and loved ones.
Survivors include two sons, John Offield (Mimi) of Union, MO, Luke Offield (Lisa) of Columbia, MO; her mother, Alice; one brother, Randall Hale of Sedalia, MO; three grandchildren, Darrian, Aubrey, and Corbin.
Rita was preceded in death by her father and her husband, Jimmy Tolliver.
A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Inurnment will take place at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Boonville, MO. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Sedalia Animal Shelter. Arrangements are in the care of Heckart Funeral Home in Sedalia.
