Robert Andreas Treuner, 76, of Sedalia, passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2013, at his home, surrounded by his family.
He was born February 28, 1937, in Nuernberg, Germany, son of Konrad August and Marie Luise Liebel Treuner. On December 15, 1961, in Nuernberg, he married Helga Marianne Beutemann, who survives of the home.
Mr. Treuner was the founder and owner of Robert A. Treuner Masonry. He was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ and the Sedalia Country Club, and was a charter trustee member of the Bricklayers International Pension Fund. He was instrumental in establishing an apprenticeship program for masons in cooperation with State Fair Community College. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He enjoyed playing golf and fishing. His family and friends were important to him, especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, survivors include a son, Andrew Treuner, and his wife, Mary, of Sedalia; a daughter, Christa Albin, and her husband, Mike, of Sedalia; four grandchildren, Steven Albin, and Heidi, Marta and Marianne Treuner; and two great-grandchildren, Riley and Kyler Albin.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ruprecht Treuner.
Memorial services will be at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, September 14, at Heckart Funeral Home, with Leora Bremer and Adam Fischer officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home. A reception will follow the memorial service at the Heckart Family Center.
Burial will be at a later date in Crown Hill Cemetery.
