Robert L. “Bob” Mcfarland

Robert Layne McFarland, age 64, of Belleville, Illinois, passed away Monday, February 7, 2022, at Integrity Healthcare of Columbia in Columbia, Illinois. He was born September 10, 1957, in California, Missouri, the son of the late Jessie (nee Bennett) and John McFarland.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife Marilyn (nee McCall) McFarland; second wife Cyndi Brown-McFarland; and brother Cody (Vickie survives of Columbia, Missouri) McFarland.

He is survived by his daughter Ashley (Ryan) Freeman of Hillsboro, Missouri; son Mitchel (Kara Bauer) McFarland of Collinsville, Illinois; brother Dennis (Diane) McFarland of Blue Springs, Missouri; sisters Jackie Jones of Sweet Springs, Missouri, and Lisa (Everett) Monteer of Sedalia, Missouri; and grandchildren Willow McFarland, Lucas Freeman and Grant Freeman.

Bob was an avid fisherman and hunter. He loved spending time on the lake with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Memorial gathering to celebrate Robert McFarland’s life will be held Friday February 11, 2022 from 5:00 pm until time of service at 7:00 pm at Heckart Funeral Home in Sedalia, Missouri.

Interment will be in Crown Hill Cemetery at a later date.

Memorials in Robert’s memory are preferred to American Brain Tumor Association.
