Robert L. Hackworth

Robert Louis Hackworth passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2022 in Sedalia, Missouri.  He was born on June 19, 1943 to his parents Lehman and Lillian Hackworth.  He was preceded in death by his brother Charles, both his parents, and his wife of 50 years, Judie Caldwell Hackworth.

Robert spent his final weeks with his best friends and in-laws Andy and Ann Stovall, whom he loved dearly.  Robert’s children want to thank them for their unending and gracious care for him.

He is survived by his daughter Heather and spouse Wayne Hansen and his son Ryan and spouse Amber and his twelve grandchildren (Tate, Hope, Emalyn, Annie, Jett, Jude, Daphne, Layla, Asa, Lynnlee, Leland, and Violet).  His family was always a priority and gave him so much joy.  The family get-togethers were such a highlight for him.

Robert was passionate about his daily Bible reading, attending church, and volunteering at Open Door.  He enjoyed reading with his cats, Willy and Kitty, and cooking.

Robert graduated from Sloan Hendrix Highschool in 1963.  He enlisted in the Navy and worked as a dental technician while stationed in San Diego.  He received his bachelor’s degree in business in 1972 from Arkansas State University.  He worked as a regional supervisor for Wyatt’s Cafeteria, operating cafeterias in the Midwest until finally running his own, Hack’s Cafeteria, with family and friends.

Burial will be announced at a later date and will take place in Imboden, Arkansas.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Open Door in Sedalia, Missouri.

Arrangements are in the care of Heckart Funeral Home.
