Rose Ann Muntz, 69, of Sedalia, passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.
She was born September 3, 1944, in Dubuque County, IA, daughter of Albert and Bernadine Callahan Wolbers. On January 29, 1966, in Dubuque, IA, she married Daniel William Muntz, who survives of the home.
Rose worked in the deli for both Bing’s stores and Price Chopper. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church. She enjoyed gardening, playing golf and riding motorcycles. She loved going to garage sales, and repurposing and collecting items.
In addition to her husband, survivors include five children, Cindy Muntz, of Sedalia, Marcy Roberts (Shawn), of South Gifford, MO, Daniel Muntz II, of Sedalia, Jon Muntz (Jacklyn), of McCallsburg, IA, and Frank Muntz (Adelia Bol), of Sedalia; ten grandsons; one granddaughter; a sister, Marie Wiegand; and two brothers, Justin Wolbers and Loras Wolbers.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Cecil Hines; two brothers, Pat Wolbers and Albert Wolbers; and a sister, Colleen Schwers.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at Sacred Heart Church, with Father Mark Miller officiating. There will be no visitation.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Sedalia Firefighters’ Memorial Fund, Sacred Heart Scholarship Fund or the Salvation Army.
