Roy Dean DeHaven, 86, of Sedalia, died Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.
He was born January 25, 1936, son of Clyde H. and Rosie (Anderson) DeHaven.
In 1964, in Hong Kong, he married Lilly Ann (Chow Pui-lan), who preceded him in death on November 26, 2016.
Roy served 28 years in the United States Air Force. His job was to fly with the various dignitaries.
He enjoyed golfing and working on chainsaws and lawn mowers. He was a member of the Shrine Club.
Surviving are a son, Darin; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James DeHaven; a sister, Lena Young; and a niece, Kim Anderson.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, September 2, 2022, at Heckart Funeral Home.
Casket bearers will be the United States Air Force.
Burial with full military honors will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to Shriner’s Hospital for Children.
