In Loving Memory
Roy M. Hagerman, 74, of Sedalia, passed away Monday, May 6, 2013, at his home.
He was born December 1, 1938, in Marshing, ID, son of Ralph and Elva Joy Compher Hagerman. On April 14, 1991, in Nevada, MO, he married Linda Conard, who survives of the home.
Mr. Hagerman retired from the Nevada R-5 School District after 25 years, where he worked in grounds and maintenance. He was a member of Bethany Baptist Church, Missouri Retired Teachers Association and Sedalia Retired Teachers Association. He enjoyed gardening, photography, landscaping and yard work. He was a farmer and U.S. Army veteran.
In addition to his wife, survivors include four children, Lisa Stark (Dan), of Windsor, CO, Jennifer Hagerman, of Fort Scott, KS, Karen Goodwin (Travis), of Sheldon, MO, and Terri Hayes (Mark), of Nevada, MO; three step-children, Rodney Gore, of Lewis-Clark Village, MO, Timothy Gore, of Rushville, MO, and Kimberly Thomas, of Effingham, KS; 12 grandchildren; three sisters, Nellie Fishell, of Independence, MO, Naomi Williams (Richard), of Rich Hill, MO, and Mary Ann Pullman (Frank), of New Mexico; and a brother, George Hagerman, of Bronaugh, MO.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a stepson, Everett Duane Gore; and two brothers, Ralph Hagerman and John Hagerman.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Heckart Funeral Home, with the Rev. Craig Bowen officiating.
Casket bearers will be grandsons, Dusty Murray, Jordann Stark, T.J. Goodwin, Domnick Goodwin, Seth Gore, Colten Thomas and Jamie Stark.
Burial will be at 3:00 p.m. Thursday in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, with military honors by the U.S. Army and VFW Post 2591.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Heckart Funeral Home.
