Ruth Anne Cook, 92, of Sedalia, passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2020, at Sylvia G. Thompson Residence Center.

She was born August 21, 1928, in Sedalia, daughter of Campbell and Cleo (Thompson) Berry.

On December 22, 1945, in Sedalia, she married Edward W. Cook, who preceded her in death on March 10, 2018.

Ruth Anne was a beautiful woman inside and out. She was loved by everyone and she loved her family. She was primarily a homemaker but had sold Avon for a time and worked at a discount store. She enjoyed fishing with her husband, collecting antiques, working crossword puzzles, playing Solitaire, baking and cooking. Ruth Anne was a member of Broadway Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are two sons, Stephen N. Cook and William E. Cook, both of Sedalia; five grandchildren, Jason B. Cook, Derek A. Young, Stefany N. Sudduth, Kara D. Cooperstein and Ben A. Morrison; and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, David A. Cook; a daughter, Susan L. Neeley; two brothers, Jeff Berry and William Berry; and a sister, Martha Jennings.

Due to the pandemic, a private burial will be held in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may pay their respects and sign the guest book from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. Sunday, January 3, 2021, at Heckart Funeral Home.

Memorials are suggested to Broadway Presbyterian Church or American Cancer Society.
