Ruth Burd, 98, of Sedalia, formerly of Lee’s Summit, passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2017, at Sylvia G. Thompson Residence Center.
She was born March 27, 1919, in Blodgett, MO, the daughter of William and Catherine Louder.
Ruth worked at Western Electric until retirement.
She enjoyed going out to eat, traveling, and gardening.
She is survived by her daughter, Catherine Rutherford, of Sedalia; three granddaughters, Kim Braverman, Tina Price, and Tammy Rucker; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter.
She is preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, and two brothers.
The family will hold a private ceremony at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of Heckart Funeral Home.
