Sandra Ann Kerns, 80, of Sedalia, passed away Sunday, January 28, 2018, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.
She was born July 28, 1937, in Calhoun, daughter of Herbert and Mary (Duvall) Houston.
On June 10, 1955, in Sedalia, she was married to Floyd Daniel Kerns, who preceded her in death on October 22, 2017.
Mrs. Kerns retired from Rival Manufacturing. She was a member of First Baptist Church and loved her church family. She enjoyed reading, sewing, crafts, knitting and sharing her creations with family and friends. She had a good sense of humor and loved visiting with people.
Surviving are three children, Dennis Kerns (Melodie), of Sedalia, Ann Dancer (Ray), of Savoy, TX, and Don Kerns (Mary), of Sedalia; six grandchildren, Justin, Tiffany, Bradly, Lora, Linda and Lisa; eleven great-grandchildren; and a brother, John Houston, of Smithton.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Carol Kerns; a sister, Carolyn Kreisler; and a brother, Larry Houston.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 3, at Heckart Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dr. Glenn Sparks officiating.
Casket bearers will be Dennis Kerns, Donald Kerns, Bradly Kerns, Ray Dancer, Herbert Houston and Justin Dancer.
Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
