Sharon Lee Adams, 82, of Sedalia, passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at The Living Center in Marshall.
She was born March 22, 1936, in Kansas City, daughter of Lee Charles Stock and Loeta (Compton) Stock.
On September 8, 1959, in Gravois Mills, she was married to John Henry Wilburn Adams, who preceded her in death on March 2, 2014.
Sharon was the owner and operator of Sharon’s Beauty Shop in Sedalia. She was a member of Living Waters Assembly of God. One of her favorite things to do was pray. Everyone she met, she would write down their name and add them to her prayer list. She also liked to watch Christian shows and listen to Christian music, especially the Gaithers. One of her hobbies was making cakes.
Surviving are four children, Leo Adams, of Sedalia, Jackie Perkins (Tom), of Sweet Springs, Jerry Adams, of Springfield, and John Adams (Nonnie), of St. Louis; eight grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and a sister, Sandy Whitaker (Don), of Stockton, CA.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three siblings, Ida Belle Gallegos, Robert Corbett and Phyllis Freitas.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 15, at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville.
Cremation arrangements are in the care of Heckart Funeral Home in Sedalia.
