Sheri M. Atkinson
Sheri Marie Atkinson, 57, of Sedalia, died Sunday, September 9, 2018, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.
She was born September 7, 1961, in Sedalia, the daughter of Charles H. and Juanita M. (Metscher) Salmons.
Sheri worked at Adco for 23 years. She enjoyed antiquing and auctions, and visiting with the customers who came into Sam’s Place. Sheri loved spending time with her grandkids. Even through her extended illness, Sheri always remained strong and kind. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
Surviving are a son, Charles S. Atkinson and his wife, Ashley, of Sedalia; two grandchildren, Matthew and Alexander; her mother, Juanita Salmons, of Sedalia; her brother, Chuck Salmons, of Sedalia; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father and grandparents.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 13, at Heckart Funeral Home, with Pastor Jeremy Freeman officiating.
Casket bearers will be Rodney Metscher, Ryan Metscher, Jake Thomas, Mike Hunt, Kevin O’Brien and Kyle Heyer.
Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 12, at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to the family.
