Sherry Lynn Vandevelde

Sherry Lynn Vandevelde, 58, of Sedalia, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2024, at her home.

She was born on February 21, 1966, in Hayward, CA, a daughter of Wayne Henry and Ivadale Gypsylena (Keefer) Olson. On September 3, 1993, in Olathe, KS, she married Marvin Vandevelde who survives of the home. 

Sherry earned her Associate Degree in Early Childhood Development. In her spare time one of the things Sherry liked to do was going horseback riding. She loved being able to be a stay-at-home mom. Sherry always said her greatest accomplishment was having her children and watching them grow into the people they are today. She enjoyed greatly being with family and her grandchildren. 

Survivors include her husband Marvin Vandevelde; three children, Ciera, Travis, and Christopher; grandchildren, Autum, Christopher Wayne, Corbin, Kayden, Kamryn, Maddox, Amaryllis, and Axel; sister, Cindy Narducci; brother, Robert Olson; nieces and nephews, Morgan, Chandler, Robbie, and Ryan. 

A Memorial Mass will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at St. Vincent de Paul Parish, St. Patrick Chapel. Arrangements are in the care of Heckart Funeral Home in Sedalia.
