Shirley M. Coffman

Shirley May Coffman, 94, of Sedalia, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.

She was born August 17, 1929, in DeSoto, daughter of William and Dora (Hercher) Fredrickson.

On May 14, 1950, in Sedalia, she married Tommy L. Coffman, who preceded her in death on October 26, 1993.

Shirley was a 1947 graduate of Smith-Cotton High School. She was a billing clerk for the Sedalia Water Department for 43 years, retiring in 1992. She was a faithful member of Epworth Methodist Church.

Surviving are two nieces, Joyce Smith (Lawrence) and Linda Shull; and other great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Orilla Wideman and Pearl Garrett; and four brothers, Charles, Earl, Billy and Jack Fredrickson.

A family service will be held. Burial will be in New Bethel Cemetery.

A celebration of life will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at Primrose Retirement Community.

Memorials are suggested to Epworth Methodist Church.
