Shirley Davidson Alexander, 83, of Sedalia, passed away Friday, April 29, 2022 at University Hospital in Columbia, MO.
She was born July 30, 1938 in Sedalia, MO, a daughter of Charles Wesley and Bertha (Davis) Davidson.
Shirley had attended Smith-Cotton High School and later State Fair Community College. She worked in Home Health Care as a nurse and later managed Plaza West Apartments until her retirement. Shirley enjoyed playing Bingo, going to the Casino, cooking and planting her flowers. She loved spending time with her family especially her sisters because they could always share a good laugh together.
Survivors include three children, Mark “Chris” Alexander, Roy Charles “Chuck” Alexander, and Kim Wells and her husband Tim all of Sedalia; six grandchildren, Chris Wolf, Leigha Wolf, Glenn Wells, Jacob Alexander, Caitlin Grose, and Austin Alexander; three great-grandchildren, Elijah, Lorleli, and Audra; one sister, Dolores Fyock.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by four brothers, Chester, Charles, Wayne, and William Davidson; two sisters, Mildred Hyken and Alvena Mulberry; and her companion, Dale Harvey.
Visitation will be held at 3:00 p.m. until service time on Friday, May 6, 2022 at Heckart Funeral Home. Memorial services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sedalia.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to the American Diabetes Association.
