Steven A. Thrift
Steven Alex Thrift, 72, of Sedalia, passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2015, at his home.
He was born July 13, 1943, in Columbia, son of Eugene and Nina Thrift. On July 21, 1979, in Dripping Springs, MO, he was married to Linda Diane Dillard, who preceded him in death on June 5, 2000.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Church. He enjoyed working with the Maplewood Homeowners Association. He enjoyed building model cars, doing yard work, and helping people. He loved his dog, Gizmo.
Surviving are two sons, Colin Thrift and Sean Johnson; two daughters, Melinda Bannister and Connie Downs; 14 grandchildren; two brothers, Allen and Michael; and five sisters, Dorothy, Nancy, Cathy, Barbara and Mary.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Richard.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 9, at Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Epilepsy Foundation.
Arrangements are in the care of Heckart Funeral Home.
