In Loving Memory…
Sue Johnson, 79, of Sedalia, passed away Saturday, November 16, 2013, at University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia, surrounded by her family.
She was born April 14, 1934, in Sedalia, daughter of Floyd E. and Irene Wasson Potter. On April 18, 1953, in Sedalia, she married Lowell Franklin “Frank” Johnson, who survives of the home.
Sue was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and enjoyed being with her family. She will be remembered as a caring and kindhearted woman. She enjoyed going to the casino. She was a 1951 graduate of Smith-Cotton High School and a lifetime member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
In addition to her husband, survivors include a daughter, Dyana Cunningham (Tom), of Sedalia; a son, Jay Johnson (Barbara), of California, MO; three granddaughters, Julie, Holly and Megan; two grandsons, Nathan and Daniel; a great-granddaughter, Marissa; and three great-grandsons, Tashaun, Mason and Peyton.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother at birth.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Heckart Funeral Home, with the Rev. Rodney Brown officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
