Sunny K. Morton
Sunny Karen Morton, 78, of Sedalia, passed away Friday, April 4, 2014, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.
She was born August 2, 1935, in Mangum, OK, daughter of A.H. and Iva Threadgill Tandy. On December 31, 1953, she was married to Joe James Morton, who died in 1995.
Sunny’s life was centered around her family. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed traveling.
Surviving are two children: Marqueta Kay Bates, of Sedalia, and Jo Lee Shernaman, of Raymore; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Janice Edgerton, of North Carolina.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Jerry Booth.
Services will be at 4:00 p.m. Friday, April 18, at Calvary Episcopal Church, with Father Harvel Sanders officiating. Burial will be later in La Monte Cemetery.
Arrangements are in the care of Heckart Funeral Home.
