Susan Melanie (Tieman) Reith

Susan Melanie (Tieman) Reith, 68, of Sedalia, passed away Friday, June 14, 2024 at her home.

She was born October 8, 1955, in Carrollton, a daughter of the late Wilfred Arthur and Fern Eva Laura Marie (Tieman) Tieman. On April 19, 1975, in Blackburn, she was married to David Wayne Reith who preceded her in death on April 15, 2017.

Susan attended Zion Lutheran School in Blackburn, Trinity Lutheran School in Alma, and was a 1973 graduate of Santa Fe High School in Alma. She was a bookkeeper at Williams Woody Nissan (Mid-Mo Datsun) from 1973 to 2021.

She was an enthusiastic baker and reader. She loved her cats. She was wildly proud of her grandkids and loved spending time with them.

Survivors include two children, Amber Reith Hutcherson (Carl), of Warrensburg, and Justin Reith (Krisy), of Sedalia; and three grandchildren, Chloe, Sadie and Kylie Reith.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ronald Tieman.

Funeral service will be 10:30 am Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at Heckart Funeral Home with Rev. Kent Hutcherson officiating.

Pallbearers will be Steve Acklin, Brett Tieman, Greg Tieman, Kelly Tieman, Rick Reith and Truman Reith.

Visitation will be 9:30 am until service time.

Burial will be 1:30 pm at Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Blackburn.
