Tammy L. Shipman, 56, of Sedalia, passed away Sunday, June 5, 2022 at Bothwell Regional Health Center.

She was born April 9, 1966, in Columbia, MO, daughter of the late LeRoy and Lula Mae (Mallacoat) Gibson. On May 22, 1987, in Knob Noster, she was married to Curtis Shipman who survives of the home.

Tammy received her calling to become a Certified Nurse’s Assistant and was a dedicated employee of Sylvia G. Thompson Residence Center for 21 years. She and Curtis also managed Homestead Mobile Home Park for 20 years.

She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star. She was a Demolay Mom and had many children that called her “Mom”. She was a Baptist.

Tammy enjoyed crocheting, shopping, collecting McDonald’s toys and rocks and loved her sweet tea.

In addition to her husband, Curtis, she is survived by five children, Billy Joe Nease, Darrell Wayne Nease, Christopher Curtis Shipman, Bruce Lee Shipman and Dawn Marie Shipman; a brother, Gene Gibson; a sister, Brenda Hamlen (David); and ten grandchildren, Noland Wayne Nease, Sean Nease, Brayden Nease, Bethany Nease, Preston Nease, Serenity Nease, Daniel Cooper, Curtis Christopher Shipman, Sophia Shipman an McKenli Michael Allen Ballew.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, LeRoy Gibson.

Services will be held at a later date and she will be interred in the Shipman family section at Lehigh Cemetery, Lehigh, Oklahoma.
