In Loving Memory…
Terrence James “Terry” O’Donnell, 72, of Sedalia, passed away Friday, November 1, 2013, at his home.
He was born October 13, 1941, in Kansas City, MO, son of William C. and Geraldine T. Cain O’Donnell. On March 20, 1971, in Kansas City, MO, he was married to Jinny Cox, who survives of the home.
Terry was a salesman for Lone Star Industries and later Ash Grove Cement. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church, where he was president of the Parish Council and was very involved in the ministry of the church. He enjoyed golfing and playing cards with his friends. He was a Kansas City Chiefs fan. Terry was a National Guard veteran. He loved spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife of 42 years, survivors include three sons, Tim O’Donnell, and his wife, Alison, of Shawnee, KS, Kevin O’Donnell, and his wife, Micaela, of Kansas City, MO, and David O’Donnell, of Ketchum, ID; a granddaughter, Olivia; and a sister, Mary Fern, and her husband, Jim, of Overland Park, KS.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Kellie Virginia O’Donnell.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Church, with Father Mark Miller officiating.
A Scripture and Prayer service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Monday at Heckart Funeral Home, with visitation to follow until 7:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Sacred Heart Church or School.
