Theodore Madison Youngblood, 90, of Sedalia, died Tuesday, December 8, 2020, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.
He was born November 18, 1930, in Pasadena, CA, son of Earl W. and Sarah Helen (Slover). His mother died when he was young and he was raised by his father and stepmother, Viva L. Youngblood.
Ted served in the United States Air Force for over 20 years, reaching the rank of Tec Sergeant, E-6. He served as the flight crew chief for the Jolly Green Giants during Vietnam. He served two tours in Vietnam and also some time in Korea.
After retiring from the military, Ted worked as a mechanic in several shops around Sedalia.
He enjoyed fishing, watching NASCAR, and spending time with his family.
Surviving are four children: Lee M. Youngblood (Claudia), of Sedalia, Lynda C. Pottorff (Duke), of Ionia, Michele Ranae Wittenburg (Bill), of Kihei, HI, and Michael D. Youngblood (Cleo), of St. Louis; two step-daughters, Virginia Hughes, of Dallas, GA, and Joyce Sydenstricker, of Villa Rica, GA; grandchildren: Daniel, Kristopher, David, Michael, Brandy, Deanna, Jamie, Nicole, Shari, Robert, Misty, Scott, Karen and Julie; and sixteen great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Alois Lane Youngblood; a brother, Robert; and a sister, Earlene.
No services are planned.
Burial will be in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsvile.
Memorials are suggested to American Cancer Society.
