Thomas Martin Biggs, 89, of Sedalia, passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2017, at his home.
He was born August 29, 1928, in Nelson, son of Clarence Biggs and Anna Elizabeth Caton Biggs.
On October 20, 1946, in Sedalia, he was married to Gladys Lorene West, who survives of the home.
Mr. Biggs worked for Panhandle Eastern Pipeline until he retired. He was a member of Emmett Avenue Baptist Church, and Oil Chemical and Atomic Workers.
In addition to his wife of 71 years, Gladys, survivors include a son, Michael Biggs, of Marshall; two daughters, Rhonda K. Zink (Bob), of Windsor, and Karen Thornton (Dennis), of Sedalia; five grandchildren, Carrie Howieson, Tonia Weaver, Bob Zink, Julie Naylor and John Martin Walker; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Margaret Forrest, of Columbus, OH; and sisters-in-law, Ada Louise Biggs and Opal Chancellor.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Janet Heimsoth; three brothers, Fred Biggs, Warner Biggs and Robert Biggs; and three sisters, Maurine Gore, Reba Scott and Catherine Sue Biggs.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 18, at Heckart Funeral Home, with Pastor Harvey Pace officiating.
Casket bearers will be Dennis Thornton, Bob Zink, George Howieson, Frosty Weaver, Bob Zink II, and Sam Howieson.
Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until service time Saturday at Heckart Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Benton County Hospice or Emmett Avenue Baptist Church.
