Thomas Lee Palmer, of Sedalia, formerly of Marshall, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2022, at his home, on his 65
th
birthday.
He was born April 7, 1957, in Sedalia, son of Eldo and Beth (Helman) Palmer.
As a boy, Tom was a Boy Scout. He was a 1975 graduate of Smith-Cotton High School and a 1977 graduate of State Fair Community College, where he earned an A.S. in Agriculture.
Tom was a lifelong row crop farmer. He was a good mechanic. Every weekend, he went with a group of friends to the lake where they enjoyed boating and fishing.
He was easy going and always had a smile. Tom was a friend to many and will be greatly missed.
Surviving are a brother, Bruce Palmer (Patricia) of Green Ridge; a sister, Peggy Williams of Sedalia; three nieces, Kim Buescher, Jessica Crecelius (Cory), and Haley Klassing (Ryan); four great nieces and nephews, Bryce, Aiden, Adelyn and Emerson; and numerous close friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother-in-law, Jack Williams.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, April 11, 2022, at Heckart Funeral Home in Sedalia.
A celebration of Tom’s life will be held at a later date.
Memorials are suggested to McKee Chapel Cemetery, in care of the funeral home.
