Tricia Diane Dietzman Ulmer, 56, of Sedalia, passed away Saturday, March 18, 2023 at her sister’s home in Mora, Missouri surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born July 10, 1966 in Sedalia, a daughter of the late Donald and Elizabeth Louise (Meyers) Dietzman.
Tricia worked as a server for A&W, Eddie’s Drive in, and Goody’s Steakburgers. She also was a CNA at Rest Haven, Katy Manor and Sylvia G. Thompson Residence Center. Her hard work and dedication benefited thousands of people through her time in the work field.
Tricia was full of life and very free spirited. She was an extraordinary mother and friend. Her kindness was one that knew no limits. She would be the first person to give the shirt off her back to anyone in need. Anytime you were lucky enough to have a conversation with Tricia, she left you better than she found you. She made you laugh, smile, and feel like you were the most important person in the room. She never casted judgement onto others, and her love changed people for the good. Tricia’s family was the most precious keepsake in her heart. She loved going shopping with her daughters, Amanda and Randi, as well as spending quality time together. She also loved taking her grandsons, Cohlin and Caydin, to their favorite restaurant, McDonalds. Tricia also cherished her dogs Layla, Tommy and Tinker. She enjoyed doing diamond art, as well as writing and listening to her favorite music. Every week she enjoyed Taco Tuesday with her sister Tammie, as well as their weekly Wal-Mart trips. She enjoyed spending time with her mother, whom she helped care for in the last of her life. She adored long phone calls with her family and friends. She especially loved drinking her early morning coffee and chatting with her brother-in-law Rick. Above all, Tricia was the embodiment of love to all she encountered. She was so loved by so many and will live on in our hearts forever.
Survivors include two daughters, Amanda Uptegrove (Jason) and Randi Ulmer; two sisters, Terry Zaremba (David) and Tammie Dotson (Rick); a half-sister, Sheila Dietzman; a stepbrother, Timothy Sheets; a stepsister, Jessica Rabeneck; three grandchildren, Cohlin Burkett, Caydin Burkett, and William Burkett; and several nieces and nephews.
