Valerie Jean Schultz, 61, of Sedalia, passed away Friday, May 9, 2014, at Research Medical Center in Kansas City.
She was born December 5, 1952, in Indio, CA, daughter of Oran Lyle and Helen Elizabeth Ruhnow White, who preceded her in death. On August 13, 1974, in Stover, she married Stanley Evan Schultz, who preceded her in death on August 6, 1982.
Valerie enjoyed reading, knitting and traveling. She retired from Maxion Wheels after 35 years. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Shannon Marie Balver, of Sedalia; three grandchildren, Audrey, Kayla and Cody; three siblings, Lyle White (Ginger), of Kansas City, Vanessa White, of Kansas City, and Loran White (Wanda), of Edmondson; and her beloved pets, Parker, Taz, Simba and Mickey.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Heckart Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jeremy Freeman officiating.
Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday at Heckart Funeral Home.
