Vickey S. Hawkins
Vickey Sue Hawkins, 62, of Sedalia, passed away Thursday, August 2, 2018, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.
She was born March 6, 1956, in Kansas City, daughter of Louis Calvin Holtcamp and Daisy Mora (Howe) Schlobohm. She was raised by Norman Schlobohm, Sr. along with her mother.
On July 5, 1974, she was married to Daniel M. Hawkins.
Vickey was raised in the La Monte area and attended La Monte School. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandson Riley. She enjoyed music, cooking, crochet, and reading the Bible. She was a member of Grace & Glory Chapel near Green Ridge.
Surviving are her husband, Daniel, of the home; three daughters, Sabrina Comfort, Memory Hawkins and Rebecca Gallagher, all of Sedalia; her grandson, Riley; siblings, Ann Roy, Sheilia Lassiter, Calvin Holtcamp, Richard Schlobohm, Pam Kreisler, Larry Holtcamp, Vaunda Ransdell, Jewell Deuschle, Norman Schlobohm Jr., Charles Schlobohm, L.D. Schlobohm and Melody Schlobohm; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 6, at Parkview Christian Church, with Pastor David Beck officiating and Rev. Rodney Brown assisting.
Burial will be at a later date in Raybourn Cemetery near La Monte.
Cremation arrangements are in the care of Heckart Funeral Home.
