In Loving Memory

Wanda Bell Strohmeier Agnew, 85, of Green Ridge, passed away Saturday, June 1, 2013, at Rest Haven Convalescent and Retirement Home.

She was born May 7, 1928, in Detroit, MI, daughter of Theodore and Minnie Mercer Keen. She was married to William Strohmeier, who preceded her in death. On May 17, 1999, in Miami, OK, she was married to George Albert Agnew, who survives of the home.

Wanda and her husband previously owned Cork’N Bottle. She also worked at Wal-Mart in Versailles in Sedalia. She was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ in Florence, the Business Professional Women’s organization, and Quilting Grannies. She enjoyed cooking, making pies, fishing, traveling, quilting, crocheting, helping others, meeting people, flowers, gardening and loved the outdoors. She was a lover of life.

In addition to her husband, survivors include two sons, William Strohmeier and Kenneth Strohmeier, both of Sedalia; and several children that they took into their home to care for.

In addition to her first husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Heckart Funeral Home, with the Rev. Gene Bacon officiating.

Casket bearers will be George Agnew, Rocky Adkins, Charlie Bacon, Jerry Dillard, Phillip Doyal and Brent Kahle.

Burial will be in Shores Cemetery in Oak Grove.

The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until service time Tuesday at Heckart Funeral Home.
