Warren Ray Lewis, 83, of Smithton, passed away Sunday, November 26, 2017, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.
Warren was born on November 3, 1934, son of Raymond Henry Lewis and Hazel Elizabeth Cramer Lewis.
On August 25, 1956, in Otterville, he was united in marriage to Darlene Gochenour, who preceded him in death on August 3, 2017.
Warren was a graduate of Smith-Cotton High School. He worked in road construction. He enjoyed going to the boat, fishing, riding horses, hunting, bowling and playing cards. He proudly served his country in the United States Army.
He is survived by two children, Melissa “Lisa” Alexander, of Smithton, and David Lewis (Tammy), of Sedalia; four grandchildren, Daniel Lewis (Jennifer), Chantry Alexander, Jodie Akers (Steven) and Debbie Lewis; three great-grandchildren, Conn, Jasper and Felicity; nieces and nephews, Paula Wood Adams, Kristin Oehrke Largent and Chad Oehrke; and great nieces and nephew, Mikal Wood, Lynzi Adams, Krista Largent, and Ava Grace Oehrke.
In addition to his wife of sixty years, he was preceded in death by his parents; and a daughter, Melinda, in infancy.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, December 2, 2017, at Heckart Funeral Home, with Jeff Page officiating.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Otterville.
Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor’s choice.
