William Fredrick “Bill” Mize, Jr., 62, of Sedalia, MO, passed away Monday, September 4, 2023, at his home peacefully.
He was born May 14, 1961, in North Kansas City, MO, son of William Fredrick Mize, Sr. and Margaret L. (Fibert) Frazier. He attended Park Hill high school and went into the United States Navy following graduation. He served his country honorably for 17 years as a Signalman, where he received the Meritorious Unit Commendation medal twice, and the Southwest Asia Service medal and Kuwait Liberation medal while deployed overseas. After his time in the service, he became quite a craftsman, building and rehabbing houses.
Bill had a larger-than-life personality and never met a stranger. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, laughing and telling jokes, fishing, singing while playing his guitar and cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs. He will be so deeply missed and is loved by so many.
Surviving is a daughter, Megan Lehman (Bryce) and two granddaughter’s Cali and Hadley; his mother and step-father, Margaret and Ron Frazier, his sister Tammy Dominguez (Nick) and children Joey, Sam, and Nick, his nieces Misty Meek (Clint) and children Jayse, Ryker and Kahlia, Crystal Miller (Ben) and children Tyler and Logan, nephew Greg Utz, and step brother Jason Frazier and family.
He was preceded in death by his father William Fredrick Mize Sr., stepfather Paul Maenhoudt, sister Sandra Dee Mize, and brother Kim William Mize.
